David Beckham leads his team to the Galaxy

The England midfielder David Beckham came up with their best football and led the LA Galaxy to a 5-2 win to Isidro Metapan of El Salvador in the league match of the CONCACAF Champions corresponding to the group stage

Beckham leadership and good play Beckham enabled the Galaxy jumpstarted a 0-1 side marker it once had in the first 17 minutes of the game.
The Salvadoran team got the advantage thanks to a goal scored by Nicolas Munoz Panama, on 17 minutes, but in the 20th minute the midfielder Jose Alvarado scored an own goal and put the tie (1-1).

From that moment the La Galaxy domain was complete with Beckham inspired all his actions and a perfect pass to the center of the area allowed the Irish international Robbie Keane to head the 2-1 finish that gave to Lakers the lead in the 22nd minute.

Beckham sealed the win with a great goal he scored from corner kick that goalkeeper failed to clear.

Beckham: "These players are my best memory of Madrid"

The England midfielder David Beckham admitted that, despite being a friendly, was not  nice the defeat of his team, Los Angeles Galaxy against Real Madrid (1-5), but is goog to meet his former teammates.

"I have the best memories of my time at Real Madrid, great friends, and to see them again, even as rivals in a friendly, is very nice," Beckham said at the conclusion of the match.

Beckham, author of the center that allowed the Galaxy to get the goal of honor, acknowledged the superiority of Real Madrid was undeniable, but his team played well for the first 20 minutes.

"I think we had several opportunities before and after scoring the goal to get some more, but we lacked the luck in the final shot and as always also emerged the figure of Iker (Casillas) did not allow that to happen," said Beckham. "Now we must concentrate on our league competition that is thhe most important for the future," he said.
